For 10k, 75 ectos and 250 glitter dust, it's pretty expensive to get chaos gloves that look boring after a while. I know the mesmer gets its own style. It would be awesome if Anet would re-design the chaos gloves to look different for each class and would make sense.

They done that for the mesmers, now something just as cool for the other classes. If Anet decides to proceed, those who have already purchased a pair before the update can choose to turn his/her pair for the custom made version.

As far as I know mesmers don't have different chaos gloves, as far as I know they just have different armour, meaning that the gloves go up to the sleeve of the dress and the rest are hidden.

Still it gave the mesmer and different, yet elegant look. They gotta do something similar with the other classes Even with the other gloves.

75 ecto is a hefty price... Maybe if it changed to like 75k and 5 ecto it would be a bit more reasonable. Just having that thought of a lot of ecto kills just about anything for any player...

Yes but it looks half way decent because of mesmer armour, not because the gloves are different.

What would you propose as changes for each of the classes? Remember that to fit with the "chaos" theme they need to be that bright glowy thing. Do you suggest eles have glowy handwraps in the skin of say aeromancer gloves? For monks to get handwraps of glowy stuff complete with dangling bits.

It doesn't matter what way you spin it the gloves are still going to look silly in a good 80% of cases. Once again I say, the mesmer gloves aren't different, what is different is their armour style. They put no extra work into mesmer chaos gloves.

The best you could hope for is to fix the "end" of the chest pieces to match up with the gloves.

ALL mesmer gloves are short like that,where ALL other professions have normal gloves,thats why they got a slightly different look,it dosent really matter any ways..i have owned 4 sets of chaos gloves and ben happy with them looking the same.

Btw,if they change the price of chaos gloves to 75k+5e i quit...

My observation:
The Chaos Glove isn't a glove at all, its a Glow effect on the character's hands. Most of the mesmer have long sleeves over the arm part clothing, thats why it looks different, try putting one on the sleeveless armor, it will look the same.

How to change this and hope it does not turns out uglier then it already looks. sparkle needs to be sparkling with the glove on, not without the glove and can't even see the character hands.

So here goes: sparklie the gloves of the existing glove that the character is wearing.

sparklie the gloves not make the glove unable to be seen in a bring light, or you know, some kind of glowing/sparkling effect surrounding the gloves/hands like the Elementalist's head gear.

No, it only goes to the wrists. Period. Because that's what mesmer gloves do.
they're not gauntlets, no mesmer gloves go halfway up the forearm, even the chaos gloves.

The gloves that are common between professions are all exactly the same. They work the same way. You take off your character's gloves and then put the other gloves on. IF there is skin to show off the full length of the glove you get the full length of glove. IF there is only the hand uncovered (after the gloves have been removed) you will see only the hand of the new set of gloves you put on.

There is nothing tricky about this. There is NOTHING SPECIAL about mesmer gloves. They were not designed a different way, they do not work a different way, and at times you get to see some absolutely horrible clipping.

Pumpkin, while I would love sparkly stuff as much as any other I think that this would miss the point of "chaos" gloves which is to look at least a little like the chaos axe skin.

There are characters and armours with which the gloves work, or kind of work, and there are characters (read clasess) and armour sets which don't work. I'd be more in favour of hiring fashion police than changing a set of gloves that work the same way for all characters.

This actually suggests that it is a limitation with the character models. Which is interesting though not entirely surprising. Basically it can't be changed easily without messing with a lot.

yeah, and it looks great!

i like the chaos gloves how they are, its no different on mesmers, just the sleeves cover it to where just the hands glow. looks neat though doesnt it?

Gloves are "exclusive" if u cant afford is useless asking for a reduction of the price just because if everyone has chaos gloves there is no sense to spend money on them.

Anyway Anet will never reduce the price of gloves so dont dream.

My only problem is that with certain (several, actually) dye combos, the majority of the arm becomes transparent. Something in the dye programming is screwing with alpha channels pretty hard.

This is only an opinion, not a suggestion. First off, if they made the chaos gloves specific for each class, like armored gauntlets for warriors, or leathery gloves for rangers. They'd still have the bright texture, though. Speaking of bright texture, why not add more detail to the gloves? Like have colored aura to the gloves that match the dye color. Just a thought.

But yeah, they're a waste as far as I'm concerned.

Anyhow, Mesmer gloves are all short to the wrist as said. The gloves/armors are all set to be the same way/style. If they changed these, people might start complaining about changing every other armor.

chaos golves look bad on every class except Mesmers and Monks. for most other armor combos on other classes, the sleeves end in awkward areas and gloves just look lame. re-skinning every chest piece that has sleeves would be a lot of work though.
